Each year, the City of Melville Bridge Club conducts a special fundraising event for a charitable cause. For the 2021 event, the Bridge Club chose the Pallister-Killian Syndrome Foundation of Australia (PKSFA) as their beneficiary.
Members and visitors came together for the event on 11th December and all playing fees went to the charity. Raffles were also held on the day and during December. Thanks to the generosity of its members the City of Melville Bridge Club raised $1,500 for the PKSFA.
This money can make a huge difference for a PKS individual whereby the Foundation can purchase an item which is not covered by the NDIS, such as an iPAD or a special sensory toy which can aid in learning, communicating and coordination.
The PKSFA would like to thank the City of Melville Bridge Club members, Richard Fuller and Mark Hughes for their generosity.
